Messaging comes in two main forms for Chainnels
1. Channels
There are three types of channels that a user may join:
Token(NFTs or Coins)
Social Keys
Hashtag Keys
Token(NFTs or Coins)
These channels are identified based on blockchain contract addresses and therefore enable users to be 100% sure that the channels they join are the correct ones. Nevertheless, users should always be wary of bad actors within legitimate channels.
Social Keys
These channels are created upon a user owning a social key of any user on Chainnels. In order to mint these keys, you will need to link your X account before proceeding to mint your own key. If you want to join another user's channel, you will have to buy more keys from that user to join his private channel.
Hashtag Keys
These channels can be created by anyone from the keys page. These are similar to the social keys except that anyone can mint any hashtag that isn't already minted. Owning these keys will give you access to the hashtag channel.
2. Direct messages
Chainnels's direct messages are via wallet-to-wallet messaging. You can turn off receiving direct messages and choose to enable receiving direct messages only from users you follow.
